Reduction starter

The starter equipped with a gear reducer between the electric pivot of the starter and the driving gear is called a reduction starter.

The power of a series excited dc motor is proportional to the torque and speed of the motor.It can be seen that when the engine speed is increased and its torque is reduced, the starter power can be kept unchanged.Therefore, when the series excited dc motor with high speed and low torque is used as the starter, the volume and weight of the starter can be greatly reduced under the same power.However, the torque of the starter is too low to meet the requirements of the starting engine.For this reason, when the dc motor with high speed and low torque is used in the starter, a gear reducer is installed between the motor's pivot and the driving gear, which can reduce the motor's speed and increase its torque at the same time.

There are three kinds of gear reducer of the gear reducer of the gear starter: external meshing type, internal meshing type and planetary gear type.

The gear reducer is driven by idler gear between the electric pivot and the driving gear of the starter, and the electromagnetic switch core is on the same axis with the driving gear to directly push the driving gear into mesh without any fork.Therefore, the appearance of the starter and the ordinary starter is quite different.The transmission center distance of the external meshing type decelerating mechanism is large, so it is limited by the starting mechanism, and the decelerating ratio cannot be too large, generally not more than 5, which is mostly used for the small power starter.

The internal engagement type of gear reduction starter, its gear reduction mechanism drive center distance is small, can have a large gear reduction ratio, so it is suitable for high power starter.However, the internal meshing reduction starting mechanism is noisy, and the driving gear still needs to be driven by the fork to engage, so the appearance of the starter is similar to that of the ordinary starter.

The planetary gear reducer starter has a compact deceleration mechanism.High transmission ratio and high efficiency.Because the output shaft is coaxial and corotational to the electric pivot, the electric pivot has no radial load and small vibration, so the overall size is small.

Permanent magnet starter

The starter with permanent magnet material as the magnetic pole is called the permanent magnet starter.It cancels the excitation winding and the core of the magnetic pole in the traditional starter, simplifies the structure of the starter, greatly reduces the volume and mass, improves the reliability, and saves the metal material.

 

Permanent magnet deceleration starter

The permanent magnet motor with high speed and low torque is adopted, and the gear reducer starter is installed between the driving gear and the electric pivot, which is called the permanent magnet reducer starter.The volume and mass of permanent magnet deceleration starter can be further reduced, which has been widely used at present.
